The <b>International Association of Teachers of German (IDV)<\/b> supports them in these efforts.<\/span><\/p><p class=\\\"p1\\\" style=\\\"line-height: 1.4;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-size: 18px;\\\">The IDV is an international umbrella organization of associations of teachers of German worldwide, whose purpose is to promote the German language. It represents the interests of its members\\u2014currently 98 associations from 86 countries across all continents, with the number continuing to grow\\u2014and supports the concerns of teachers of German and others working in this field. The IDV Executive Board is internationally composed and is advised in its work by experts from the German-speaking countries.<\/span><\/p><p class=\\\"p1\\\" style=\\\"line-height: 1.4;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-size: 18px;\\\"><b>All positions on the IDV Executive Board are voluntary.<\/b><\/span><\/p><p class=\\\"p1\\\" style=\\\"line-height: 1.4;\\\"><span style=\\\"font-size: 18px;\\\">As an umbrella organization, the IDV works closely with its member associations. It connects, supports, and coordinates their activities both globally and regionally.
